Black Diamond Expeditions Black Diamond Expeditions

In lesson # 15 you should have learned:

1.           That Satan decided he could be greater than God.

2.           That God decided He would show Satan who was running the show and kicked him out if the mountain of God.

3.           That God has a hate list.

4.           That Satan most likely set up operations, once he was exspelled,  on earth and after hundreds of thousands of years he made such a mess of it that God had to destroy it and re-create it.

Re-creation

Genesis 1: 3 – 5 – Day One

“And god said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning was the first day.”

Too many readers of the Bible never really study the Bible. There is a lot of important information in these three verses, but few seldom see it.

Most people think that the light mentioned here is the sun.  I do not agree with their assessment for I believe the light here is Jesus, and I’ll tell you why. Look at Psalms 74: 16: “The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.”

What I see from this verse is a statement of fact from God that he not only prepared the light, but He prepared the sun also. I believe we have sufficient information here that an inquiring mind seeking the truth should want to known more, don’t you?

Look at verse five very closely: And God called the light Day. In the KJV, the word Day is capitalized, indicating it is a personal noun, even these translations agree it should be capitalized too: ASV, NKJV and RSV. There are other Scriptures that indicate the Lord Jesus was the light of the world, but we’ll quote only one here. ”Then spake Jesus again unto them saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8: 12

The other part of verse five states: “and the darkness he called Night” I believe that the Night mentioned here is Satan, or the Devil. While there are no specific verses that say Satan is night or darkness, there are many verse that describe hell as a place of darkness.  After Judas had betrayed the Lord, Jesus said the betrayal was “…the power of darkness.” Luke 22: 53. Paul said this to the Colossians: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in LIGHT: who hath delivered us from the POWER OF DARKNESS, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.” Colossians 1: 12-13

Paul also wrote this to the Romans: “…let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Romans 13: 12.

In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul wrote: “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5: 8, 11.

What I believe God has introduced here in the first day of creation is the comparison of good (the light - Christ) and evil (darkness – the anti-Christ & the Devil). And on the second day of creation he distances good from evil.  Let me show you what I mean.

Genesis 1: 6-8 – Day Two

“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

Let’s look at our graphics of the waters again.

This graphic is the result of the completion of day two, but I want you to imagine water from God’s throne to earth. Then God created the firmament and placed it in the middle of all that water.  Get the picture?  At the end of day one the whole sphere in which the earth sits was covered with water, thus indicating a massive flood.

Remember in Lesson # 14 we discussed this issue in detail. God created heaven and earth in perfection.  But then we said something happened that caused this perfect creation to be laid waste, to become empty and worthless.  We attributed this demise to Satan.

We also stated in Lesson # 15 that Satan was kicked out of Heaven because of his pride.  Now we are going to see that this newly created heaven is going to be Satan’s new home – God distancing Himself from the man of pride.

Can you see all of this in these three verses? Read them again, and as you read them, I want you to look for something that is not said rather than something that was said.

Before I give you the answer, I want you to pay close attention to the other five days of the re-creation process in Genesis Chapter one.  As you read them, I want you to look for words that are repeated in each day of creation.  I want you to find a common thread for days I, 3, 4, 5, and 6 that you will not find in day 2.

Day one                    verse 4                    what does it say?

Day three                    verse 12                   what does it say?

Day four                   verse 18                   what does it say?

Day five                   Verse 21                   what does it say?

Day six                   verse 25                   what does it say?

Verse 31                    what does it say?

Now look at:

Day two                   verse 8                   what does it not say?

Every day of creation, except day two, God looked at what He had just created and said it was good. Why do you think He excluded day two from that appraisal?  It has to be because that heaven is the home of darkness – Satan.

I know quite a bit about Satan and his followers and some of the names given them in the Bible. I know that the world is his domain and that he is far above us, yet walks among us seeking to devour us.

1.           He is the prince of the power of the air. “Whereas in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 2: 2.

2.           He is a roaring lion. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”

       1  Peter 5: 8.

3.           He is the god of this world. “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

       2 Corinthians 4: 4

4.           He and his entourage are called principalities and powers and they are in heavenly places. “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be made known the manifold wisdom of God.” Ephesians 3: 10.

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2: 15

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places  Ephesians 6: 12.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” Colossians 1: 16
