3.
He is the god of this world. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them
which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the
image of God, should shine unto them.
4.
He and his entourage are called principalities and powers and they are in
heavenly places. To the intent that
now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be
made known the manifold wisdom of God. Ephesians 3: 10.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them
openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2: 15
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6: 12.
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.
Colossians 1: 16
But when God created him, he was called Lucifer. How
art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut
down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isaiah 14: 12 This is
the only verse in the Bible in which the name is found.
Angels
God created all the angels.
And all the angels were called sons of God. When God was chastising Job
in chapter 38 of the Book of Job, we are made aware that when He created the
heaven and earth the angels were already created and the sons of God (angels)
shouted for joy when creation was finished. (Job 38: 7)
I know that the Bible sometimes refers to these angels
(sons of God) as gods. In Psalms 97: 7-9 we find that God is exalted far above
all the gods. Confounded be all they
that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship Him, all ye
gods. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of
thy judgments, O Lord. For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art
exalted far above all gods.
We also know that God said these angels were gods and his
children. He also said some of them
would die and fall as Satan did. I
have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye
shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Psalms 82: 6-7
I know that Gods people knew about these angel gods, for
when Paul & Barnabus healed a man the people called them gods. And
when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in
the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And
they called Barnabus, Jupiter: and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief
speaker. Acts 14: 11-12
I know something else about some of the fallen angels.
I know they came to earth, cohabited with the women of earth and produced
children by them. These children grew to be giants, up to 14 or 15 feet tall.
I want you to read Genesis 6: 1-6: 1. And it came to
pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were
born unto them, 2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were
fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3. And the LORD said, My
spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days
shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4. There were giants in the earth in those
days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of
men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of
old, men of renown. 5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the
earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually. 6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and
it grieved him at his heart.
You will notice in verse 3 these words man, that he also
is flesh. You must ask the question, who else in the passage was flesh
too? You will find that answer in verse 2 the sons of god. Now we can
understand more fully the words of Psalms 82: 7: But
ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes
